More ice cream

Something felt odd a couple nights ago...I was vegetating on the couch, eating an ice cream sundae, and watching The Biggest Loser.

My cousins. We almost lost the little one's shoe to the duck hunters Posted by Picasa

Duck hunt

Nothing says 'run Forrest, run!' better than a shotgun going off 20 yards in front of you. in freakin Rhode Island. and by the ocean, no less. I went walking with my cousins and my brother on this stone wall thing that lines the ocean by their house in the big ol state of Rhode Island. We saw this flock of ducks just sitting in the water - it looked normal at first, until we realized that all the ducks were sitting in a perfect line, and they weren't moving. Even after a shotgun went off. No joke, we were confuzzled and a half. We kept walking and ended up coming to these guys, in full camouflage no less, trying to hide behind the wall with all their hunting paraphenalia. Apparently they were hunting for ducks. In the middle of residential Rhode Island. And I thought hicks only lived in the middle of nowhere. What a bizarre place.

During my visit to Penn State I got to go to Hershey's Chocolate World, and I couldn't pass up a picture with life sized chocolate bars  Posted by Picasa

Monkey face

I love goofy pictures. Sure the posed ones that have everyone in them are nice to look at, but the best ones are the candid shots of people making retarded faces =)

I'm back!

Wow, it's been so long since I've posted. Here's a quick update: Christmas was great, New Years was great, and I didn't make any resolutions this year, as usual (I refuse to make any because they don't work). Now that you're up to speed with what's going on with me, a little of what's been going through my head. In particular the Michael Buble song "Home" - Another aeroplane, another sunny place, I'm lucky I know...but I wanna go home - All this flying around (and a lot of driving around) for med school interviews has been hectic and awesome, but it's strange knowing that I'm going to be calling one of them home soon. No more Jersey, no more living in the same bedroom I grew up in. It's so weird knowing that in 6 months my life is going to completely change. It won't even be one of those gradual things that over time you realize your life is different, this is just going to be like *WHAM!!* say hello to new life. It's so exciting yet so scary to think about. I wonder if I'll ever get used to it. I suppose 8 years should be plenty of time to settle in to someplace new, but it'll be interesting to see how it all plays out - and especially where that someplace new will be.

Didn't say I'll see you later...

We had a goodbye get together yesterday for Bequanay, Laura and Heather. It was tons of fun and real sad at the same time. Why do you people keep moving away?? c'mon people!!

On a brighter note, I'm going to my first professional hockey game tomorrow! hooray!!

peanut butter (no jelly) time

I'm addicted to Reese's peanut butter cups. We got a bunch of minis for halloween (so we could eat them after), and I can't stop eating them. They're so good! and addicting! I'm gonna be on a serious sugar high tonight.

Man I feel like a woman

This one's for the girls....

So you're sitting there chillaxin, after having just finished painting your nails. It took you the better part of the hour to get them done without any smudges or crooked lines and everything, and you're so proud of yourself because now they look like you just came back from the salon. Only then does it hit you -- that incredible urge to have to go to the bathroom. You thought you were going to be good for the next few hours when you went before you started your little nail party, but your bladder just doesn't care and quite frankly wants to see you ruin your nails five seconds after you painstakingly just finished them. And to top it all off, you're wearing the sticky jeans with 5 buttons and the belt that's gotta go under and through and over and around just to get unbuckled. That's just the worst. What a conundrum.

RU-BME!!

lol this was funny. A little background: some BME students wanted to make shirts that said RUBME (for Rutgers Biomed Engineering - for serious, that's what it stands for), but the administration wouldn't let them (can't imagine why). Guess the students'll get their way now anyways.
