World turning upside down

I just got back from a glorious trip to sunny SoCal...well it wasn't all sunny the whole time, but it was warm as anything, my friend. I forgot how nice it is to not have to walk around with a down jacket, scarf and gloves. And how nice palm trees are. The people from San Diego are interesting. Not in a bad way, they're just different than the north-easterners I'm used to. I did meet a lot of fascinating people on my trip. Not just californians either. This trip made it so incredibly clear to me that there's a reason for each person you run into. Whether it's the best friend you see five times a day or the abnoxious kid you have to sit next to on the bus. God uses each person in a unique way, and we're often in too much of a hurry or too self-absorbed to actually get what He's trying to tell us. Or teach us. Or open our eyes to. And the even cooler part is knowing that He might be using you to impact someone else, in a way we never dreamed of or ever thought possible. Just knowing that brings a smile to my face.
