My family and I just got back from a trip to Mexico, and oh how I wish we were still there. We went for our cousin's wedding, which was in Oaxaca, some little historic town near the southern tip of Mexico. Besides a couple people of the wedding party getting sick (as in nausea, puking, and diarrhea), it was an awesome wedding. The Friday before the wedding they had a dinner where everyone had to dress in white, which was a really neat idea. Saturday anyone who wasn't hung over went to visit these ancient ruins. If everyone was short way back then, I don't understand why they built steps a foot high like they did. I had trouble scaling them, and I've got long legs. They must've crawled up then or something. Anyways, Saturday night was the wedding, and as I've never been to a Mexican Catholic wedding before, it was rather quite an experience. Last time I checked, it's not safe to light fireworks and keep holding them while they go off. Ask me about it and I'll fill you in on more. I'll post pictures of all this real soon too.
After the wedding we went to a resort in Huatulco, where we did nothing but bake in the sun all day. Well maybe we didn't just bake, but we did do that an awful lot*
